Michelle Gwynne Yoga classes allow you to connect with your body and your breath in a friendly, safe, accepting and supportive environment. We invigorate and energise all parts of the body including the spine, stretching and strengthening muscles and stimulating and massaging the vital organs and glands.
In addition to yoga posture work, we practice breathing techniques and guided meditations, always concluding the sessions with a well deserved relaxation…bring a blanket so you can get really comfortable and relax fully.
I have a passion for Yoga which I would love to share with you! Yoga is for every-body, you don’t need to be ‘bendy’ or super skinny or wear the latest yoga clothes to practice yoga. All you need is your body just as it is, your mind and a yoga mat.
I began practicing yoga in 1999 and quickly fell in love with the practice and the effects I felt with yoga. I enjoyed the way my body felt after being stretched and strengthened on the mat, along with relaxation, I always slept like a baby after yoga classes, I was hooked! I continued enjoying regular classes with Marilyn Heginbotham, then began my own regular home practice for several years when I was living in Seoul, and while travelling.
I returned back to the UK and completed the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) Foundation Course in 2009 with Marilyn, then completed the BWY Teacher Training Diploma in 2012 with Swami Rosemary (Prem) Bennett.
Alongside my love of yoga, I enjoy backpacking, Travelling in RVs, motorbiking (I have a Bonneville called Betty), drinking real ale, playing and chasing around after our beautiful Toddler (my favourite thing of all!).
I am also a State Registered Paramedic, qualified in London Ambulance Service, currently working in Yorkshire Ambulance Service. I have previously worked as an Analytical Chemist and English Teacher in Seoul amongst many other varied jobs.
With love and light
